How to speed up your PC

How to speed up your PC #1-Disk Clean-up The first thing that you need to do in order to speed up computer is to free up some disk space. Overtime, your computer will accumulate a lot of unnecessary files. By clearing up these files, your computer’s speed can improve quite a bit. Windows itself has an inbuilt software called Disk Cleanup that helps you to clear up and purge those useless hard disk files that accumulate over time. #2-These programs will bloat your Windows Registry, which could make your Windows take longer to load; some could also end up loading utilities at startup, which, unbeknownst to you, steals memory and speed from other programs! To remove a program, launch the AddRemove Programs from the Control Panel. To get to the Control Panel, just click Start and look for the Control Panel there and then click on it. #3-Defragment your hard drive once a month. To get all the files in order again, you can defragment your hard disk by running the Disk Defragmenter system tool. To do this click on the Start icon at the bottom left of the computer screen and then click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Defragmenter. #4-Clean Out Your Registry Cleaning out your registry is perhaps the most important thing to do to improve the speed of your computer. You may already have a program which cleans out your registery, if not download one here www.RegistryFix.com #5-Eliminate Spyware Fortunately this can be easily dealt with, by using a program

I assume the creator of this video is not going to reply to you, therefore I will.
I am not sure what you mean by “disk config”, are you on about “Disk Cleanup” or “Disk Defragmenter” or possably “msconfig”? Whatever you mean by “disk config”, if you are following the steps which the creator of this video has suggested then nothing you are going to be running is “bad”. I would be careful with the startup and registry steps though.

My playlist on speeding up a PC may help you too.

I just checked your theory and no, it is not showing anywhere in the MSCONFIG. I have never liked turning things off using MSCONFIG for a couple reasons. One is the need to reboot every time you make a change. Another is because AutoRuns is much more in depth. Try ProcExp and AutoRuns on your next infection… you will be pleasantly surprised

You can always pause and rewind. This is not meant to be a tutorial on how to use a mouse, it was meant for advanced users who are familar with cleaning spyware and viruses.
As for a video for Vista/Win7… not much need. Aside from the HOSTS file being harder to edit and needing to go a different route to disable the system recovery, everything else is the same.
Sorry if I confused or amazed you! There are several good websites out there to teach you windows basics.

This is insane. Why don’t you make it so ordinary people can understand you? You have to be a complete geek to follow your directions!
