its not as simple as hitting the delete key and getting them off the recycle bin. reinstalling your OS does not lead to permanent deletion either. that could work hiding stuff from your parents but not with people with a bit of know-how. some people think the information is gone for but in all likelihood its still sitting somewhere in their hard drive. nothing a good recovery software wont get back.
