IF THIS WAY DOES NOT WORK FOR YOUR WINDOW XP COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAKE SURE THAT YOU TURN OFF YOUR SYSTEM RESTORE.
GO TO START, RIGHT CLICK “MY COMPUTER” CLICK PROPERTIES.
A PROPERTIES WINDOW WILL POP UP, SELECT THE SYSTEM RESTORE SLIDE. THEN CLICK THE BOX “TURN OFF ALL THE SYSTEM RESTORE”.

Just download MALWAREBYTES- it will remove it instantly, do a quick scan with it and then follow up instructions. It works for me, and it should work for every one else. Due this is is adware program. Not virus- it wont do any damage to your PC, just fucks up files. Malwarebytes should slove this.

Don’t fall for fail links that lead you to buy Anti viruses, due stuff like this with Win32.

the error is gone but my network computers cant access my shared folder and shared printer…. Any other fix there

If dont work, go Control Panel > Adminastrative Tools > Services > And turn on all the services to do with the internet and Windows Audio

I always get generic host errors and when it happens, than when i open itunes it wont play the music and it wont give me sound when im on youtube. would this help me?

Use CCleaner. scan the registry. fix the invalid firewall rule for your game mine is CSS. restart. done. Do the scan and fix before you play. Hope this helps.

I did the NT Authority Local Service and yeah, it didn’t fixed. I do not know what does NT do to my PC. I don’t wanna mess up my PC. I firstly run the game perfectly just fine and finished the game normally. Until when I tried to start the game all over again.

I don’t think this is the best to fixed it. I run and finished play Black Mesa: Source just fine. Few days I planned to start play again and I got this “hl2.exe has stopped working” every time I will load the game. Take note that other games from valve like Half Life 2, HL2 epi 1, HL2 epi 2, Portal 1, Portal 2 do not have problems. Before this problem occurs I am pretty sure I did not do anything to my PC or settings. It just suddenly appears.

Just get a registry cleaner and run it, you don’t have to fuck all around the computer just to get a game to load.

Adding Local Service to the admin group will open the PC to attack. The point of the above video is for you to enable this and obviously it won’t work so a select few of non-technical people will install the registry cleaner which is actually spyware/malware/scareware and will use those settings to infect your PC!
