Hey guys! This is Gonna be part 1 out of 5 in my console fix series. Here I will show you how to get the console (~) to work using the Registry Editor. This is the most common problem and solution for people and I hope it will work for most of you. First search “REGEDIT” and open it up. Do what the video says, and if the console still doesn’t work, try this: (Search device manager and open expand human interface devices. Uninstall the thing above eHome Infrared Transceiver. (It has a longer and more unique name than the others, sorry, I forgot what it was called.)) If it still doesn’t work, check out videos 2,3,4,&5!

@snick512 Registry booster asks you if you want to backup your regsitry before cleaning it in case the clean caused damage… 😮

This program really helped improve the speed of my PC, it boots faster now.
No, I’m not advertising this program, I even got the cracked version, but this program just BOOSTED my PC..
Maybe just because my PC is old, but still… you can’t say registry booster is useless

why dont buy..?

my computer starts up in 10-15 seconds, however i cant use it for 5 minutes after boot up because i get 8 bloody pop ups from all the crap i’ve downloaded

@snick512 thats why it backs up the data before cleaning it incase something important is removed so you can restore it, DUH! you can only put a lock on those data if u don’t want it to b counted when adding up the errors

@JeffBT haha macs. My quad core (amd Phenom II) could do it in 3 minutes.
I bet that mac you’re running on costs $2400, double of my PC.

you want faster boot up download microsoft bootvis and NT Registry Optimizer these both put uniblue registry booster to shame and there free =] my computer boots up at 39 secs 59 with nod32 specs 2.8 celerian 1.25gb ram

well idk about this piece of software but cleaning your registry also fixes programs that are having trouble loading and such

@JeffBT Sorry for being a pain in the ass but if you are anything like me you have guys like me on here all the time. It keeps us doing things above the board. I am sure if you talked to uniblue you could get a copy of their software free to review then you can state 100% your hypothesis’s truth or lack there of with confidence. We have enough guys with “opinions” we need more people with proof.

@JeffBT There is no hype. It is black and white. The review was done by one of the reviewers which is a volunteer. We were never paid in fact we were told only to give awards if the product performed above and beyond what was expected. We even had an award called the WTF award which was for products that sucked horribly. So no neither my site now nore Overclockersclub have ever posted anything that is “hype” we do real world testing not VM, not half assed,

Registry cleaners are a bad thing to use, simply because a registry cleaner doesn’t know you. The registry is the heart of your Windows machine, if that program changes something it can damage the user-end experience. It doesn’t matter how much you use your Windows system or how you use it, “cleaning the registry” is not going to make a difference on its performance. Concept: You have 100 programs, uninstall 80, clean the registry; Error galore because it removed needed values for other things.

@sk8boardingdood Ahh yes the problem is fixed I meant to remove that last comment, I took apart an old dell and salvaged it’s disk drive. For some reason it works better than my new one, think its time to upgrade, mainly because the old disk drive is only 16x speed. (too slow for me) But thanks for warning me about the crack. I still installed on my laptop for the fun of it though 🙂

@TheXboxDoctor Using a crack disables the ability of starting up GFWL. You might wanna check out the desktop’s DVD drive for problems because it’s clearly working well on your laptop. But yes, I think it will work if you install the game files on your laptop and copy those to your desktop (having installed it there already with the other method of course).

I have a different problem, when I tried to reinstall fallout 3 goty my desktop dvd drive woulldn’t read the disk. So I put it in my laptop and copied the disk files onto my external hdd and then installed it onto my desktop pc and downloaded a disk crack. it works although games for windows live wont open when in the game. should i install it on my laptop and copy the game files? help plox.

@Grimguy007 There is, you have to disable automatic driver installation. You can enable this later, so its fine to disable it. Ill send you how to do it.

I do not have the OverrideKeyboardSubtype file. I also cannot uninstall the Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver unless I restart my computer, which it then immediately reinstalls it. I also cannot disable it. I do not have the Windound Cir Transceiver from your other video to disable. I already have the OBSE and the ring mod. The console will STILL not work. Is there a way to uninstall Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver without restarting my computer?

lol this was done on a laptop, and usually desktops don’t have infrared so this isn’t a problem.

Ohh! I noticed I dont have the overridekeyboard thing, i have MouseDataQueueSize or somthing lol. and thats it, does it matter if i have a laptop or not?
