yes, just vista temp file locations may be different. if you can locate them, you can use same instruction.

yes, it is safe. Also to do it with extreme care, please check step by step instructions in the video.

Are you getting this when you try to run any application? If it is giving this error for a specific application, then that could be issue with that application. Which application are you running and what the exact message are you getting?
You may uninstall and install the application again. Sometime this helps to fix lots of common problem.

yes, you can. restarting and checking if everything looks good before deleting is a safe way to do it, just incasse anything goes worng. but in 99% cases it is harmless to delete all these files. so you can also directly delete them.

If you are deleting files from this folder:
C:UsersUser NameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet Files
Then it is fine as this will not have your browsing history, saved pass or any bookmark.

Better way to do it is copying the folder in desktop or somewhere else before deleting. Incase if you see something wrong then you will be able to restore files in it. Happy clearing.

hey, does deleting the temp folder also deletes my browsing history, saved passwords and bookmarks? because thats the thing i wont likely be doing.

you can delete all of them. if some of them are currently in use for some application, it will give you message and wont let you delete those. just follow my instruction and you should be good.

did you mean it grown back? if you have lots of software installed then it is obvious that it will grow faster.

well if the temp folder name has changed then for sure other programs will try to access this folder will not be able to operate. you can try 2 things:
1. from environmental variable option change the temp & tmp back ot what it was earlier.
2. restore your computer to a earlier state when you think the temp folder was there and everything worked fine. search in google for your computer for this. if using dell, press F8 while booting and that will give you various option to restore.

no, it does not delete your application.
and yes, inside the temp folder you can make your own back up folder may be called my tem or anything.
hope this will help.
